Ingestion of excessive quantities of highly fermentable carbohydrates can lead to significant changes in normal fermentation patterns in the rumen, resulting in lactic acidosis. This condition causes a drop in rumen pH, leading to rumen stasis and destruction of normal rumen microflora. Kyrongest Antacid works by: Neutralizing Lactic Acid: Calcium and magnesium carbonates react with lactic acid to raise the pH of the rumen contents. Buffering Action: Sodium phosphate acts as a chemical buffer to stabilize pH levels. Promoting Rumen Motility: Ginger stimulates the rumen, encouraging motility and improving digestion. Providing Nutrients: The trace minerals support the health and function of rumen microflora. Directions for Use For Bovine: Mix the contents of one bag (320g) with approximately 10 liters of warm water. Administer via stomach tube to ensure even distribution throughout the rumen. Repeat at least once within a 24-hour period. Continue treatment for 2-3 days. For Ovine: Drench 1/4 bag (80g) over a 24-hour period, repeating as necessary.
